May 5, 2022 - Winsted is thrilled to welcome Emmanuel Luevano as our new Project Designer! We had the chance to sit down for a Q/A session with Emmanuel to learn more about him and his role at Winsted.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Originally, I'm from Mexico. My wife and I relocated to Rochester a year ago. Now we call Minnesota home. Our first winter in the Midwest wasn't as bad as we anticipated, but we do miss the warm spring.
Q: What is your role at Winsted?
A: As a Project Designer I'm responsible for identifying our clients' needs and ensuring those needs come to fruition. I work closely with our CAD department and others across the company to provide a complete, efficient, and high-quality solution.
Q: What is your background?
A: I'm an architect. I have spent my career looking at buildings on a macrolevel. With Winsted I am supporting clients on a microlevel, looking closely at the control room and the operators very specific and critical needs.
Q: What do you enjoy about your project management role at Winsted?
A: Each project that comes to me is unique. I'm tasked with digging in deep to each control room, understanding the people who use it and their goals. I take great pride in being able to support our customers from start to finish.
Q: What tips do you have for anyone looking to remodel or update their control room?
A: Get a project designer as soon as possible. A designer doesn't just look at the specific piece of furniture that goes into the room, they look at the entire space holistically. The earlier a designer can be part of a project, the better the end result will be.
The Winsted team welcomes Emmanuel to our family!
