NEUMANN TAKES HOME A 2009 TEC AWARD
Posted on Friday, October 16, 2009

OLD LYME, CONNECTICUT - OCTOBER 2009: Neumann was honored with the 2009 TEC
Award in the category of Microphone Technology/Studio for the Neumann TLM
67, which was introduced this year at Summer NAMM. The 25th Annual TEC
Awards ceremony was held October 10, 2009 during the 127th AES Convention in
New York City.

The TLM 67 shares its model number with the legendary U 67, a microphone
with which it also shares a capsule, the K 67. The TLM 67 incorporates a new
circuit design that closely reproduces the sonic character of its beloved
predecessor without the use of tubes, similar to the circuitry used in the
very successful TLM 49. The new microphone features three directional
patterns (omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-eight), as well as switchable
10 dB pre-attenuation and a high-pass filter, allowing the microphone to be
precisely adjusted for any studio recording application.

In recognition of the 80th anniversary of Neumann, the TLM 67 honors company
founder Georg Neumann, with a three-dimensional metal emblem. The microphone
sports a unique dual-color design that combines a stylish pearl gray body
with the classic Neumann nickel finish.
