GMB Pro Sound to Supply Poland's First Meyer Sound LEO System for Heineken Open'er Festival 2013
Posted on Tuesday, July 2, 2013
Polish rental company GMB Pro Sound will christen its new Meyer Sound LEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system at the 2013 Heineken Open'er Festival in Gdynia, Poland from July 3-6.

Owner Janusz Jonasz Tolopilo established GMB Pro Sound nearly 20 years ago to serve the growing demand for higher quality, more reliable live sound. The company's purchase of a new LEO system adds to an inventory that includes MICAline array loudspeakers, UPA-1P and UPM-1Ploudspeakers, MJF-212A stage monitors, and a large number of MM-4XP loudspeakers.

According to Tolopilo, GMB's investment in LEO was prompted by the company's growing roster of festival commitments. The purchase was also part of an overall growth plan targeting the European live market.

"LEO is a powerful, linear audio system, one that is really capable of taking on those massive outdoor and indoor events," says Tolopilo. "The amount of work that has gone into LEO is simply amazing. I am very impressed by the performance of the system, and am convinced that it will quickly become the number one choice for large events."

GMB Pro Sound's LEO system includes 48 LEO-M line array loudspeakers, 36 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements, and a Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system with eight Galileo Callisto 616 array processors. The system was purchased from Polsound of ?omianki-D?browa, Meyer Sound's Polish distributor.

Founded in 2002, the Heineken Open'er Festival has steadily grown in size each year, having attracted a crowd of 70,000 in 2012. The 2013 festival takes place in the airfield of Kosakowo Airport, and features a mix of international and Polish artists on multiple stages. It has twice won Best Major Festival at the European Festival Awards.
